Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

    1. What is WOD Timer?

WOD Timer is a mobile app that provides configurable timers and local logging for CrossFit‑style workouts including RFT, AMRAP, EMOM and Tabata.

    2. Is WOD Timer free to use?

By default, the app is free to download and use. If paid features or subscriptions are added in the future, they will be clearly described in the app and in the store listing.

    3. Where are my workout (WOD) records saved?

All WOD records are stored locally on your device’s storage by default. They are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly enable a cloud sync or backup feature.

    4. How can I back up or export my WOD history?

Currently you can export WOD data using the app’s Export feature (if available) to a CSV or JSON file, or enable cloud backup if the app supports it. Make sure to back up your device regularly.

    5. Can I sync my WODs between devices?

Not by default. Syncing across devices requires a cloud/account feature — we will only transmit data off-device if you opt in and enable that feature.

    6. How do I delete a WOD or clear all history?

Open the WOD detail or History screen, swipe or tap the delete icon, and confirm. To remove all history, go to Settings > Data > Clear All (or similar). Deleting local data is permanent unless you have a backup.

    7. Does the app collect personal data?

By default, no personal data is collected off your device. The app stores workout logs locally. Optional features (account creation, cloud sync, analytics) may collect additional information only if you opt in.

    8. Is my data secure?

We use reasonable technical measures to protect data stored locally and during transmission if you enable cloud services. However, no system is perfectly secure—please back up important data and keep your device protected.

    9. Can I opt out of analytics or crash reporting?

Yes. If the app includes analytics or crash reporting, a setting will allow you to opt out. Default behavior is to keep personal data on-device unless you enable transmission.

    10. Does WOD Timer provide medical or training advice?

No. WOD Timer is a timing and logging tool only and does not replace professional medical or coaching advice. Consult a qualified professional for personalized guidance.

    11. Why is my timer drifting or inaccurate?

Timers rely on the device’s system clock and processing. Background restrictions, battery saver modes, or heavy system load can affect timing accuracy. To improve accuracy, disable aggressive battery optimization for the app and keep the app active while timing.

    12. Can I share my WOD results on social media?

If the app includes a Share option, you can export or share a WOD summary via other apps on your device (e.g., messaging apps or social networks). Sharing will use the device’s native share sheet.

    13. What permissions does the app require?

Typical permissions include: local storage access (to save logs), optional network access (only if you enable cloud features), and notifications (if you enable alerts). We will request only the permissions necessary for the features you use.

    14. What happens if I reinstall the app?

If your WODs were only stored locally and you reinstall without a backup, local records will be lost. If you used a cloud backup or export, you can restore from that backup after reinstalling.

    15. Is the app available in other languages?

The app supports multiple languages depending on the device locale. If Spanish or other languages are not available, plan to add them in a future update.

    16. How can I report a bug or request a feature?

Use the in‑app Support/Feedback option or email irving@ivin-dev.com with a description, steps to reproduce (if applicable), your device model and OS version, and any screenshots or logs you wish to attach.

    17. How do I change sound, vibration, or notification settings?

Go to Settings > Audio & Notifications (or similar). You can enable/disable sound, choose alert types, and toggle vibration. Also check device-level notification settings.

    18. Are there ads or in‑app purchases?

The current app version is ad‑free. You can purchase features such as storing your records in the cloud and have more exercises to select by purchasing the Premium version. Any future changes (ads or in‑app purchases) will be communicated in the app and store listing.

    19. Who do I contact for legal/privacy questions?

Contact irving@ivin-dev.com for privacy or legal questions. For data rights requests (access, deletion, portability), state your request clearly and include the email associated with the account or device if applicable.

    20. Where can I read the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy?

The Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy are available within the app and on our website (or store listing). Please review them for full details.
